When people ask me how to lose weight, I have to explain something really important. It's the wrong question! Many top experts reveal that people should focus less on how to lose weight and what your scales say and more on what is your ideal weight in terms of your percentage body fat compared to lean muscle! Men normal body fat = 15-18%Women normal body fat = 22-25% If you want to be leaner, you need to reduce further by at least 5%. If you are above the top of the range, you might want to reduce the calories you eat and/or increase the calories you burn. Generally speaking, you should lose 1 pound (approx. half a kilogram) for every 3500 calories you reduce compared to what your body actually needs on an average daily basis.
